The challenge was to provide Black women with crucial information about symptoms and treatment options for endometriosis, while encouraging them to take charge of their health.

The Honey Pot Co. is dedicated to providing natural menstrual products and advocating for women’s health, with a focus on addressing healthcare disparities and empowering women to take control of their health.The Challenge
Endometriosis impacts around 10% of women worldwide, but Black women frequently face underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis due to systemic healthcare disparities. The Honey Pot Co. recognized a critical need to educate Black women about the symptoms and treatment options for endometriosis. The aim was to address these disparities and provide a platform for Black women to feel seen and heard in their healthcare journeys.
The Solution
On September 18, 2024, The Honey Pot Co. and Health in Her Hue hosted a virtual event titled “It’s Not Just Bad Cramps: Real Talk About Heavy Flow & Endometriosis.” The event was marketed via Instagram and LinkedIn, resulting in high engagement. Interactive elements like polls, Q&A sessions, and chat features were incorporated to enhance participant involvement. Expert speakers, including medical professionals, provided insights on symptom management and healthcare advocacy. One attendee shared, 'I feel more encouraged to advocate for myself, because now I have more knowledge.'
The Results
The event saw 396 registrants, 45 live attendees, and 24 replay viewers. Participants sent 120 chat messages and 14 questions, indicating significant engagement. Post-event feedback showed attendees felt more informed and validated, with one participant stating, 'Thank you so much for this amazing talk. Feeling so validated right now. What a great presentation!' The event's success, amplified by post-event marketing, highlighted a strong interest in future sessions and collaborations.
